The dress is good material. Straps are adjustable, and the material sticks a bit to your hips. I ordered a medium, even though I am small. It fits nicely and the length came to mid-calf. I will say though if you have large hips or breasts (C or D cup or even 6+ in waist size), definitely upsize. This dress has a slim fit. I have medium-sized hips and it fits nicely, but it was a bit of a struggle to get into. The dress looks exactly like the photo and is very classy when you put it on. I do wish I ordered a large because I don't like how it snugs to my waist and then flows outwards. It is comfortable though.
